Relearning the Art of the Nude: From Pencil to Canvas

Why Erotic Art?

Why not Erotic Art?

Isn’t all art erotic in some way, especially when it stirs a feeling in us, I know for me that is how it feels.

But in this case what I am really talking about is how gorgeous the human form is when captured naked, its arousing, to most, if not all. A beautiful body will catch your attention and hold it, because it is wonderful to look at.

When I first got into art I was drawn to drawing the female form, so that is what I started working on most often, I wish I could say I was still good at it or better at it today than I was when I started drawing but I most likely would suck at it. I haven’t picked up a pencil to draw in decades, it was replaced long ago with a mouse and an engineering drawing program, followed by Photoshop and other things, but drawing stopped happening. I have some anatomy courses I plan on running through from Proko which I will be using to relearn these lost skills and as I get into it I will be posting what I draw here.

Once I get the drawing part down then I am going to work on the painting piece of it and start to develop some nudes in acrylic and maybe start messing around with oils as well, not sure about that but might give it a go just to try them.

I just love the idea of being able to capture the beautiful human form while it is unclothed and when it is in the heat of the moment (which I will move into after I get things going well).

Well just a quick post today!
